Hypericum pyramidatum - Great St. John's Wort

Great St. John's Wort is a perennial wildflower native to eastern and central North America, typically growing to 2-5 feet tall and 1-3 feet wide. This plant grows especially well in moist areas, such as streambanks and wooded slopes. Its bright yellow flower blooms in July and August, attracting mainly bees. Other insects, including caterpillars of some pollinator species, also feed on its leaves.
