Helianthus decapetalus - Ten-petaled Sunflower

This perennial wildflower is native to central and eastern North America and a member of the daisy family. It blooms bright yellow flower from mid-summer to early fall and attracts all sort of pollinators, including birds that like to feed on its seeds after bloom. This resilient plant preference for moister soils makes it a great option for rain gardens.
