A robust and beautiful plant that forms strong clumps on medium green foliage, Dicentra eximia is a native wildflower of the eastern United States. It has fern-like, grayish-green, foliage which and pink to purplish red, nodding, heart-shaped flowers. It blooms late spring and in cooler climates may flower may throughout the summer. Works well in a shaded or woodland garden.
