Chasmanthium laxum - Slender woodoats

This perennial grass native to the southeast US is a wetland species, but is also moderately drought tolerant, making it well-suited to a range of settings. The long, upright blades grow up to 3 ft and long seedheads that feed a variety of mammals and birds. This resilient grass makes a great addition to any garden for ground cover.
