This sedge grows in clumps and thrives in wetter soils, making it a great option for a rain garden. Narrow, rigid stems with small flowers that bloom in late spring/early summer. While it does have these flowers, it's grown mainly for its foliage. Arrangement of its leaves hold resemblance to palm fronds, hence its common name.
Host for Satyr butterfly larvae.
