Baccharis halimifolia - Groundseltree

Tolerant of salt water spray, this handsome ornamental is one of the few eastern shrubs suitable for planting near the ocean

Baccharis halimifolia is commonly known as Groundseltree and is a deciduous shrub that grows 6 to 12ft tall.  Its white to green flowers form small, dense clusters and its silvery plumes appear in the fall on female plants resembling paintbrushes.
